Le Doggo Care Guide

Thank you for choosing our dog accessories, collars, and leashes to style your furry friend! To ensure that the products remain strong, fresh and vibrant for as long as possible, please follow these care instructions:

Dog Bandanas and BOW Bandanas:

  • Machine Wash: Wash in a gentle cycle using cold water. This helps to preserve the fabric and prevents any shrinkage or color fading.

  • Mild Detergent: Use a mild detergent that is free from harsh chemicals or bleach.

  • Air Dry: Air dry the bandanas instead of using a dryer. Avoid direct sunlight.

  • Ironing: If necessary, iron the bandanas on low heat. Iron on the reverse side.

Dog Collars With Polypropylene Webbing and Fabric Strip:

  1. Hand Wash with Mild Soap: Hand wash in lukewarm water and add a small amount of mild soap. If it requires additional cleaning, use a soft brush or cloth dampened with water and mild detergent to spot clean.

  2. Air Dry, DO NOT tumble dry: Hang the collar to air dry. Do not use a dryer, as high heat can damage the materials.

  3. Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaners on the collar, as they can damage the materials and irritate your dog's skin.

Waxed Canvas Dog Collars:

  • Spot Clean with Water: For minor dirt or stains, use a damp cloth or sponge to spot-clean the affected areas of the collar.

  • Avoid using soap or detergent, as they can degrade the waxed finish.

  • Air Dry in a well-ventilated area. DO NOT tumble dry, as dryers can cause the wax to melt or become brittle.

  • Re-Wax as Needed: The waxed finish may wear off over time, especially with frequent use. To rejuvenate the water-resistant properties and appearance of the collar, reapply wax using a wax conditioner specifically designed for waxed canvas products. Read more

  • Avoid Submerging in Water: While waxed canvas is water-resistant, prolonged exposure to water can saturate the fabric and compromise its integrity. We recommend removing the collar before swimming or during heavy rain. Dry it thoroughly if it gets wet.

Note:

  • Inspect Regularly: Before each use, inspect the collars and leashes for any signs of damage or wear. Replace them if they are torn or frayed to ensure your dog's safety.

  • Check Fit Regularly: Periodically check the fit of the collar to ensure it is not too tight or too loose. A properly fitted collar should allow you to slip two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck.
